The free School feeding programme of the federal government was kicked off yesterday, Monday in Abeokuta by the Deputy Governor, Yetunde Onanuga. She stated that the implementation will be carried out in phases and that beneficiaries at first will be pupils in classes 1-3.
The scheme, tagged the Ogun Home Grown School Feeding Programme, in its first phase will commence simultaneously in 874 schools in the state. According to her, 1,381 out of the selected 2,968 food vendors who were enrolled and trained would commence operation immediately.
