School Feeding: N375m for 700,000 Pupils in Five States

The Federal Government disclosed she paid the sum of N375, 434, 870 for the feeding of 700,000 Pupils last week.

The fund was released directly to 7,909 cooks for the smooth implementation of the feeding programme in five states which are  Anambra, Ogun, Oyo, Osun and Ebonyi.

The statement was made known to the public by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Vice-President, Laolu Akande in Abuja.

The detail of the payment which is for ten days is as stated below:

* Ogun state received N119,648,900 ( 1,381 cooks for 170, 927 pupils.)

 * Ebonyi state received N115,218,600 ( 1,466 cooks  for 164,598 pupils.)

* Anambra state received N67.5 million ( 937 cooks  for 96,489 pupils.)

* Oyo state received N72.2 million ( 1,437 cooks for 103,269 pupils.)

 * Osun state received N867,370 ( 2,688 Cooks  for 142, 193 pupils.)

Akande further disclosed that Zamfara and Enugu States would soon be paid N188.7 million and N67.2 million, respectively, later in the week.

* Zamfara state (2,738 cooks for 269,665 pupils) 

* Enugu state ( 1,128 cooks for 96, 064 pupils.)
